Barrow Art Gallery

2023 SKARTS Grantee

The Barrow Gallery has undergone a renaissance over the past couple years, thanks entirely to the generosity and efforts of the Skaneateles community. The interior space has been rejuvenated with a full paint refresh and piece rehanging, the original exterior entrance and landscaping has been updated so that it is once again functional and inviting, residents and tourists have enjoyed visiting the gallery during regular open hours and special events, and our new membership program has proven very popular, encouraging increased visits and fostering community connection. Staff have quickly learned and implemented new technology and museum best practices to help keep our 123-year-old organization running efficiently. These updated tools are critical to our success, but also require ongoing funding to remain sustainable. Grant funds will be used to help stabilize this solid foundation.
