2023 SKARTS Grantee

The library—in cooperation with the Great Lakes Guitar Society—began a Classic Guitar Series in 2014. After 2 years of 4-concert series in the fall, they launched a monthly series in 2018, which is primarily funded by private donations and will be offset by funds from the SKARTS grant. The series started with the idea of creating a venue for players to perform where music is the focus of the evening; even established musicians can have difficulty finding settings where they aren’t competing with other activities.
